  1. Congrats on finishing the first draft of your novel, friend!
A piece of advice I might give to you is that novels tend to run between 80-120k words. I’ve written novels as long as yours and found that they tended to run on. Given the attention span of your target audience, you may want to consider breaking that into two novels.
It’s up to you as the writer of course. If you need any advice or so on, drop me a line! Writing tips are pretty much all I post these days.

      • When I first got published, the company was looking between 80-100k for rookies. I know it sounds short, but oddly enough, if you take a look at a lot of break-throughs, they are pretty short. But again, my two cents.

        Good Luck!!

      • I appreciate the input. I have other novels that should be around that range that I may try and get published first. They could open the doorway for the trilogy. I also have a friend who was published by Tor at 180k for the first book of his trilogy. I guess I won’t know until I try, right?
